Cervical Fusion is sometimes necessary for those who have severe damage or degeneration in the neck.  Fusion surgery will typically join two or more bones (Vertebrae) in the neck with metal plates and screws.  An alternate is disc replacement which places a new disc unit between the two bones and eliminates the need to surgically bind them together.  I’m at a seminar today discussing options fro pre and post surgery chiropractic care to aid in recovery of disc replacement procedures.  Looking forward to working on this.  I’ll post more information after the seminar.  Dr. Larry Ziegler, Cervical Fusion post.
